Chef de Angelo’s Eat-All-You-Can (-Take)

Available during times when you most probably don’t feel like eating, Chef de Angelo now offers a budget-friendly Eat-All-You-Can promo, serving soups, salads, pasta and pizzas for only Php150.

With my firsthand experience this afternoon, I—so should Lans and JM “Bugs”—should warn you not to raise your hopes up. This may sound quite catchy, but as Bugs puts it: there’s always a secret weapon.

We arrived an hour early, as we weren’t aware that there was a serving schedule. The hunger was honestly such a pain, and the nearby restaurants were evil temptresses. However, we decided to endure the pain just so we could literally eat all we can.

WE SHOULD HAVE GONE FOR THE PHP99 SET MEAL IN PIZZA HUT.

It wasn’t all that bad at first, actually. First few gobbling of the pasta was a little tasty, until the need to feed was replaced by the flavor to savor—which was nothing, by the way, except for the pizza.

What they set for the buffet were salad ingredients (I hate veggies, so that’s not something I could elaborate more on.), two choices of pasta noodles (Fettuccine and Spaghetti), two choices of pasta sauce (white and red), and three choices of pizza (Hawaiian, Pepperoni, and Four Cheese).

The pizza wasn’t bad, but just because they served it fresh from the oven. If you do leave it uneaten on your plate for a couple of minutes, the crust suddenly turns to stone, which made me and my aching tooth very disappointed.

But that’s not it. The secret weapon, I must agree, is the soup: cold, bland, watery soup. I had to stop myself from throwing up just to be able to finish that ‘soup’. I leave a drop of it, and I’d get charged double. No, thank you.

The lesson is do not raise hopes up. Quality over quantity.

Max, you’re still next on the list.
